The Aerial Property Showcase

A marketing document produced under your agency’s branding, for the listings where a photograph taken from the ground cannot show the property at all — smallholdings, lifestyle farms, game land and large-erf homes.

A smallholding homestead photographed from the air at sunrise, the surrounding grassland and hills stretching to the horizon.
A 21-hectare property near Magaliesberg, from the Showcase flown there.

On a large property, the land is what is being sold

On a five-hectare holding, conventional photography shows the house. It does not show the extent of the land, how it sits, where the water goes, the condition of the access, or the outlook the buyer is actually paying for. Those are usually the considerations that decide the sale, and they are the ones a buyer cannot judge until they are standing on the property.

Seen from above, the property becomes new information again — which is what a listing needs most when it has been on the market a while.

What the buyer is actually paying for — the house in relation to the land around it.

It carries your branding, not ours

Your logo on the cover. Your name, your photograph and your contact details throughout. Your call to action on the closing page. Skysight appears once, as a small production credit at the back.

It is your marketing asset, and it works twice — once when you market the property, and again in the mandate presentation, where you can put it in front of a seller and say this is what I will do for your home.

What you receive

The publication runs to six modules. The number of photographs is set by the property, never by the package — roughly 15 to 20 frames for a standard residential erf, 20 to 30 for a larger freehold, and 30 to 40 for a lifestyle property or smallholding. We quote the range and deliver what the property earned. Pages are never padded to reach a number.

Flying is done from a DJI multirotor platform. Every visit includes a short vertical film cut for WhatsApp and social media, where most of a listing’s early views now happen.

Where we fly

Across the plot belt surrounding Johannesburg and Pretoria, spanning four provinces — Gauteng, North West, Free State and Mpumalanga. The towns are listed on theservice area page. If your listing sits outside it, ask anyway; most sites across Southern Africa can be accommodated.

Flown legally

All flight operations comply with SACAA RPAS Part 101 regulations, including licensed pilot operation and appropriate airspace clearance for every site. Written consent is obtained from the property owner before any flight, and neighbouring homes, gardens and pools are kept out of frame.

This matters more than it sounds. A great deal of the aerial work offered to agents in Gauteng is flown outside those rules, and the risk of that sits with the agency whose branding is on the listing.

Have a listing where the land is the story? Ask for an example first — it is easier to show than to explain.
